Anonymous: Hey! I saw you in the Texas State tag a while and I was wondering if you're still going there and if so, which dorms will you choose? I have my NSO on Thursday!

Yep definitely going I had my orientation last Monday, I submitted my housing late, so I decided that just in case all the last choices sucked I chose the teacher learning community in tower, so that’s a last resort, otherwise I want to be in tower, college inn, or blanco=)

A bouquet of clumsy words: you know that place between sleep and awake where you’re still dreaming but it’s slowly slipping? I wish we could feel like that more often. I also wish I could click my fingers three times and be transported to anywhere I like. I wish that people didn’t always say ‘just wondering’ when you both know there was a real reason behind them asking. And I wish I could get lost in the stars.

Listen, there’s a hell of a good universe next door, let’s go.

jazzy-w: have u ever learned about slavery? LOLOLOLOL

Yes I have, and guess what history shows that not only Africans were enslaved. Jewish people were enslaved, as well as Egyptians, etc. But ive taken plenty of history classes, and I understand the concept of White washing history. But that type of slavery was legally abolished in the 1800s, and yes I know about illegal sex trafficking, and how there were still jim crow laws after that, and I understand that racism and sexism exist, but how does you perpetuating the idea of ONLY white people being undeserving of the money that they earn make things any more equal? If I were to even remotely suggest that because youre Chinese you deserve to get attacked because of your wealth, or lack thereof since you can’t pay your rent, does that make me right?!? I know that the race card is being unfairly played especially here in the United States, however using your own idea that making a certain amount of money makes you oblivious to the struggles of others is a complete fallacy… Through this I fail to see how calling for, advocating, or even enjoy ing the idea of someone possibly having any sort of harm befall them because or their race or class makes you *so sensitive to the plight of others*.

I absolutely hate when people put people down

I don’t care if its about sexuality, religion, body type, but I especially hate it when people make assumptions based on race.

For the 3rd or 4th time this momth I’ve come across someome blogging about how they feel passionately about how the lower class is being treated poorly and how they would like to see the rich people live in the ghetto and have to worry about getting mugged; and when someone addresses the fact that it is extremely violent, or otherwise the reply always has to do with the person in question “being white”.

How is addressing the fact that it is violent and wrong to wish that on anyone exclusive to white people?!? If my Mexican friend and I say the same thing to the person why is what I say so easily dismissed because I’m white? When I reblog a post about how many people cannot live off the minimum wage that they are being paid and the comment someone adds is “LOL only white people need this” am I wrong to be upset?!? Its taken me 3 YEARS at my job to be making 7.70, but it is a job that I love and I accept the fact that it is what I am making. And guess what? I’m white.

I understand that the social class system in this country is grossly unfair, and although people protest, *hello occupy Wallstreet* nothing can be done because the upper class likes where they are, but some honestly deserve what they have worked for. Think about it, would anyone say that Bill Gates doesnt deserve the BILLIONS that he’s made? He literally started the company in his basement, and look at him now, he’s white, but has he not earned it? If you worked your ass off in college, got your degree, or didnt but somehow busted your ass to make a name for yourself to provide for your family does that make you unworthy of the wealth you may aquire?

Martin Luther King Jr. said I hope one day that my children will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character, that doesnt mean just his children, it means all people. I don’t understand why someone would wish bad things on anyone because of their race, it’s not something people get to choose.

i love getting messages more than anything else okay i don’t even care what the message says but just the fact that someone took the time out of their day to send me a message makes me want to sing walking on sunshine and bake chocolate chip cookies

Well ok Kesha, maybe it’s because you’re an auto tuned peice of shit who shouldn’t be famous, you have no Buisness being in the music industry, it’s not even your music you fuck, someone else wrote it for you to record and them to auto tune yourself. And it’s not at all good . It’s not positive either. So complain some more.

I don’t know if you know this, tumblr user koolkidseatgreens, but Ke$ha is a certified genius. She has an IQ over 140 and an SAT score of 1500. When she was younger she would go to the library and do research for fun. Ke$ha is a both feminist and an advocate for equal marriage/rights for people of any sexuality, being a queer woman herself.

Ke$ha is a smart, professional woman, and just because she sings songs about wanting to let loose and have fun every once in a while doesn’t make her a piece of shit.

Ke$ha’s songs are meant to point out the sexism in our media. She treats men the same way many men in the music industry treat women, and she is hated on for it. Relentlessly. She sings on multiple occasions about taking charge in a sexual relationship, of how she only uses men for their body parts. She sexualizes men to make them uncomfortable. She sexualizes men for a reaction, so that people can both see why women are so uncomfortable with their sexualization and also to point out the inequality between the sexes both in the media and in the world at large.

She is judged so harshly for singing about things that make many men famous.

If you listen to Ke$ha’s deconstructed album you will see that she actually has some talent, which may be hard to hear because she does in fact use a fair amount of autotune. This is because of her genre and because of the kind of music she chooses to create as an artist. Ke$ha may not write her songs, but this doesn’t meant she isn’t a good artist or a good person. This doesn’t mean she deserves your harsh words. Some singers are good at writing, but that’s hardly a requirement. Last time I checked whether or not you can sing has nothing to do with whether or not you’re a poet.

You should not be calling anyone a piece of shit, my friend, especially someone you’ve never sat down and had a conversation (or even taken the time to wonder about her feelings!), but if anyone deserves that kind of language it’s not Ke$ha.

You may think that by shaming women for expressing their sexuality and having fun every once in a while, that you are somehow abolishing sexism. That in weeding out the less ‘deserving’ women you are gaining our sex more respect. This is not the case, and the fact that you and many others feel such a strong need to shame this woman who has done nothing wrong, especially not to you, shows that we still have a very far away to go.
